Miguel de Cervantes was born on 29th September 1547
; he died on 22nd April 1 616) . He was a Spanish
novelist, poet, and play writer. His magnum opus, Don Quixote, considered to be
the first modern European novel, is a classic of Western literature, and is
regarded amongst the best works of fiction ever written.
His influence on the Spanish language has been so great that the language is
often called la lengua de Cervantes ("the language of Cervantes"). He
was dubbled El Príncipe de los Ingenios ("The Prince of Wits").
Miguel de Cervantes was one of the best writers of the time and history in Spain had to have a lot of imagination to create a work as I think Don Quixote with imaginary monsters (mills)
